DESIGNER IN SPOTLIGHT: Paolo Navone
MAR 2013 - After graduating (1973), she was art director at CentroKappa, where she worked on image design and development, promotional tools, outlets and special initiatives. During this period, she collaborated with Alessandro Mendini for the magazine "MODO".

In the 1980s she worked with Alchimia, Sottsass, Branzi, Guerriero and Knoll International. From 1982 to 1984 she designed objects for Alessi, she was a consultant for Abet Laminati, took part in Guido Jannon’s research into innovation together with the Régie Renault marketing group, and taught at the Faculty of Architecture in Reggio Calabria and Florence.

The years from 1985 to 1988 marked a turning point in her approach to creativity: she became an image and roduct construction consultant in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand for UNIDO and the World Bank. Her work included exhibitions, conferences and consultancy.

From 1995 to 1999 she directed exhibitions and installations for Driade, designed the Otto line for Gervasoni, the Andaman, Cicladi and Ebridi beds for Orizzonti, the Lune %26 Grass collections for Arcade, ethnic furniture for Oltrefrontiera, furniture and furnishings for Casamilano, and the jewellery boutique for Piero Milano. This period also saw the start of the association with Pitti Immagine Casa for which she handles the creation and setting up of exhibitions and fairs.

Since 2000 her clients have included Antonangeli, Dada, Molteni, Natuzzi, Roche Bobois and Swarovski. Architect, designer, interior decorator, event organiser, enthusiastic decorator of solid surfaces, Paola Navone likes to describe herself as inquisitive and cosmopolitan.

For Falper she have created the Peace Hotel collection, presented for the first time at Cersaie 2006.
