Bruno Sacco is a legend in automobile design. He gained his experience with the great "Carozzieris" Ghia and Pininfarina before commencing work with Daimler-Benz in Sindelfingen near Stuttgart in 1958. After several appointments, he became their Head Designer in 1975 and ultimately, in 1987, the Director of the Design Department. Following his retirement in 1999, he rejected numerous offers from various car manufacturers, deciding never to design automobiles again.

Good for Hansa because in 2001 the company was able to secure him as a design consultant. This led to a collaboration with Reinhard Zetsche and to the design successes Hansamurano (2003) and Hansacanyon (2005).

Hansamurano is a milestone in bathroom fitting design. Chrome, glass and an entirely new and innovative water experience turn it into a unique expression of modern bathroom culture. When the hand nears the sensor, positioned in the middle of the glass bowl, the water begins to flow. The water flow ceases automatically after an individually adjustable time or as a result of a renewed disengagement of the sensor.

Hansamurano is undeniably extravagant. This also applies to the showerhead and the bath spout that both reflect the design language of the basin fittings. The sophisticated materials of the fittings harmonize perfectly with sandstone, glass or granite and create an atmosphere imbued with natural colour nuances. Although Hansamurano appears to be inspired by classical archetypes, its internal life is utterly modern. Timeless stylistic form, convenient operation and a surprisingly economical water consumption.
